While we were away:  On Saturday July 2, 2011 at 10:27am, a young moose was spotted on Great Road.  The environmental and regional police were notified.  The area was checked but the moose was not found.

 

Monday July 4, 2011

7:44am ANIMAL
A caller from Gleasondale Road reported a possible rabid skunk.  The skunk had trouble standing.  The Animal Control Officer was notified. 

12:41pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Randall Road reported that many fireworks were being shot off.  The Police responded.  There were no fireworks found, just a contained backyard fire.  The homeowner extinguished the fire and all was OK.

7:44pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Davis Road reported that many boats on Lake Boon were going the wrong way.  The Police responded to monitor the lake.

8:06pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from White Pond Road reported that the same car drove by his house several times a day.  The Police responded.  The road led to the wildlife area, however no one was located.

8:46pm COMPLAINT
A caller from South Acton Road reported hearing fireworks.  The Police responded to check the area.

 

Tuesday July 5, 2011

9:15am  VANDALISM
A caller from Warren Road reported that his mother’s car was vandalized overnight.  The Police assisted the caller.  A report was filed.

10:40am COMPLAINT
A caller from North Shore Drive complained about some safety issues on Lake Boon.  The Police responded to assist the caller and address her concerns.

3:38pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller reported possible identification theft.  The Police responded with the proper paperwork.

4:58pm ANIMAL
A caller from Lakewood Road reported that there was an injured dog in her yard.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.  The dog was located.  It was the neighbor’s dog and he was not injured.

5:46pm FIRE
A caller from Birch Hill Road reported a grill fire.  The homeowner extinguished the fire himself however he wanted the fire department to check the area.  The Fire Department responded.  All was OK.

7:51pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Wheeler Road reported that there had been loud yelling going on for about 10 minutes.  The Police responded.  Two individuals were “venting out loud” to one another.  All was OK.

10:20pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller was concerned about several calls received by his wife from an unknown caller.  The Police advised the caller.

11:31pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
After clearing the town beach, an officer observed two cars going back into the area.  Both drivers were issued citations for trespassing.

 

Wednesday July 6, 2011

7:50am ANIMAL
A caller from Kettell Plain Road reported that there was a cow in her yard.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.  The cow was returned to its owner.

3:24pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in found an iPhone at the Manchester, NH airport.  He believed it belonged to a Littleton resident.  Contact with the owner was attempted.

5:22pm FIRE
A caller from Lanes End Road reported that paint thinner was on fire in the back of a truck on the street.  The Fire Department responded.  The fire was extinguished and all was OK.

 

Thursday July 7, 2011

1:38pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller reported that an erratic driver was headed into Hudson.  The Hudson Police were notified.

2:43pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A transport was requested for an elderly female who had low blood pressure and visual disturbances. The Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

4:23pm COMPLAINT
A caller from South Acton Road complained about an erratic driver.  The Police responded.  A woman was stopped.  She admitted to tailgating a very slow driver.  The woman was advised.


 

4:45pm COMPLAINT
Several callers on or near Great Road reported a power outage.  Hudson Light and Power was notified.  The issued was resolved.


4:56pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller reported a power outage at the intersection of Great Road and Gleasondale Road.  The Police responded to assist with traffic.

6:22pm ASSIST CITIZEN
An officer traveling on Great Road located a package addressed to someone on Hudson Road.  The package was delivered, unopened, to the proper owner.

6:42pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller at the town beach reported that his girlfriend injured her foot and needed to go to the hospital.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

11:05pm ARRESTS
Three minor males, from Sudbury, were arrested for possession of alcohol under the age of 21, possession of marijuana and for trespassing.

 

Friday July 8, 2011

7:42am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Great Road reported that a flat bed truck had an open container of trash on it that was dumping trash along the road.  The Police responded.  The driver was located.  He was advised to pick up the trash and to cover the trash container.

10:45am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Great Road reported that there was a large piece of metal in the road.  The Police responded to remove the debris.

3:27pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Cardinal Court reported that upon returning home from a vacation, he noticed a lamp was missing.  A report was filed.

5:34pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Pine Point Road requested assistance regarding the division of property.  The caller was advised to contact his attorney to assist with this civil matter.

7:50pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Lowell Drive reported that her child fell and bumped his head.  He was alert.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the boy to the hospital.

7:18am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A walk-in reported that a large tree was blocking Cross Street.  The Highway Department was notified.

12:03pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller near Glenwood Cemetery reported that someone cut off a funeral procession and made an obscene gesture as he drove by.  The license plate number was recorded.  The Police responded to investigate.

11:35pm ANIMAL
A caller from Crescent Street reported a dog barking.  The Police responded.  The dog was not located.

 

Sunday July 10, 2011

8:23am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Red Acre Road reported hearing a loud bang and then she lost power.  Hudson Light and Power was notified. 

10:10am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A walk-in brought a Chinese floating lantern into the station.  They found it in their backyard on Red Acre Road.  The State Fire Marshal was notified regarding the specific laws and any enforcement options.

11:26am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Kirkland Road reported that there was going to be a large gathering at her home.  She wanted be sure there were no parking issues.  The Police responded to check the road.  The road was clear enough for emergency vehicles to pass if necessary.  All was OK.

2:58pm ANNOYING PHONE CALLS
A caller from Packard Road reported that she received several annoying phone calls from an unknown caller.  The Police advised the caller.

4:07pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Adams Road requested an ambulance for his wife who had weakness.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

6:02pm FIRE
A caller from Red Acre Road requested assistance with a gas grill fire.  The Police and Fire responded.  The homeowner extinguished the fire.  All was clear.

6:15pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from South Acton Road reported that while he was riding a bike, a walker tried to push him over.  The Police responded.  The walker was not located.
