This endeavor is a fundraiser that helps support the Bolton Community Garden, while providing gardening enthusiasts with an opportunity to buy excellent, locally grown non-GMO and organic seeds for their gardens.  Participants in the group seed order will save 10 percent off the regular price of the seeds and will not have to pay any postage or handling. Orders and checks must be received by Feb. 1, 2014. For more information on how to order, go to www.BoltonLocal.org or call Lynn at 978-779-6225.

Second Bolton Local Repair Café Event
Do you have a broken toaster? Or a bike with a broken brake?  Don’t toss it! Bring it to the second Bolton Repair Café on Saturday, Feb 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Davis Hall at the First Parish of Bolton Church, 673 Main St. in Bolton! Residents of Bolton and surrounding towns are invited to come and find out what a Repair Café is all about.

At the Repair Café, organized by Bolton Local, everything centers on making repairs. Knowledgeable volunteers will be available to help make all possible repairs on things like small appliances, computers, lamps, bikes, and clothing—free of charge. (Some small parts may be supplied, such as wire or thread; other parts will be paid for by the owner of the item.)Because it is winter and this is an indoor event, repair of gas and diesel powered items will not be possible.  We will have volunteers who can do sharpening (knives, scissors, and garden tools), lamp and small appliance repair, furniture repair, and clothes mending. People bringing in items for repair are asked to stay while their items are being fixed. They can just watch, help with the repair, fix the item themselves with help from volunteers, or just have a snack and visit with neighbors.
