In celebrating her 80th birthday,  Stow Artist Judith Jaffe Halprin decided to organize the artwork she has created over the years. She will present  “I’m Not Finished Yet” an overview of 40 years of her artwork that can be seen at: Artspace Gallery, 63 Summer Street, Maynard, June 15 – July 13. Randall Library’s June Book Club Meeting will be Wednesday, June 19th at 4:30pm. This month’s book is Feed by local author M.T. Anderson. Come join Youth Services Librarian Martha for a book discussion and snacks. Registration is not required.
Thursday, June 20th, at 7:00pm- The Little Holocaust Survivors: And the English School That Saved Them-Author Barbara Wolfenden at the Randall Library in Stow- Author Barbara Wolfenden will be at the Randall Library to discuss her research and read from her book The Little Holocaust Survivor: And the English School That Saved Them. Based on dozens of original interviews, Ms Wolfenden has compiled a fascinating history of the Stoatley Rough School in England that became a refuge and shelter for traumatized Jewish children fleeing Nazi persecution in Europe during World War II. Books will be available for sale and signing.
Saturday, June 22, 2013 @ 10:30am-Ed Morgan, “The Music Man”– Music. Come enjoy an interactive sing-along for children ages 1 to 99 at the Randall Library in Stow with Ed Morgan, “The Music Man”. Learn new ways to connect with your family through songs. This family friendly performance will have everyone up moving, dancing and singing. We hope to see you there. Dig into Reading Randall Library Summer Reading Carnival, Wednesday June, 26th from 1-4:00pm, 19 Crescent Street in Stow-Come join the fun when the Randall Library kicks off its summer reading program with a carnival of fun on the Stow town green. Activities will include bouncy houses, magic, crafts, face paintings, games with prizes, music, introduction to the Randall Library reading dogs, a petting zoo and much more! Come sign up for the Randall Library Summer Reading and Listening clubs and have the chance to earn prizes as well as earn points for the possibility to wining a new bike, Lego sets, E-readers, an American Girl doll, gift certificates and so much more!

Car Wash/Bake Sale Fundraiser for One Fund Boston

Summer Pickup Basketball Registration Is Now Open
SYBA (Stow Youth Basketball Association) is now accepting registration for the 2013 Summer Pickup Basketball Program for both boys and girls in grades* 1 through 9.  No weekly commitment needed – come when you can.  Go to www.stowhoops.org to register.  (* Grade for 2013-14 school year.)
Booster Club Brick Fundraiser

Fundraiser for Sharyn Borey, Kids-A-Lot
Kids-A-Lot Country Day School in Stow is sponsoring a fundraiser for one of our own.  Sharyn Borey who has been with the Center since 1989 has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.  Sharyn has been a staple at Kids-A-Lot for many years, nurturing many children and families in good times and bad.  Now it is our turn to come full circle and assist and nurture her through this very trying time.  Please mark your calendars for Sunday, June 30th from 1-5pm and join us at the Maynard Rod & Gun (Sportsmens) Club at 45 Old Mill Rd. in Maynard. Concert Series At The Healing Garden
The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden announces the next “Concert at the Garden” on Sunday, June 23 at 3:00pm. The well-known a cappella group Custom Blend, will be singing an eclectic mix of musical styles including pop, jazz, soul, big band, doo-wop, gospel, and classical.   This 11-person semi-professional mixed voice group has entertained many audiences throughout the boston area.  The Garden brings talented musicians and dancers to perform in this monthly series. The Healing Garden, a non-profit organization, is located at 145 Bolton Road in Harvard, MA and offers support, educational and therapeutic services to those affected by cancer.  Admission is $10 for Garden members, $15 for non-members.  All proceeds benefit the services of the Healing Garden.  Visit www.healinggarden.net for event updates or cancellations.
RIPPLES: A Self-Guided Pond Tour for Healing
Delight in the beauty of six featured breathtaking and inspiring gardens, waterscapes and ponds along the Route 2 Corridor from Harvard to Lincoln MA.  This event will take place on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 from 10:00am – 4:00pm – your first stop will be the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, 145 Bolton Road in Harvard, MA where you will receive the map for the tour.  Tickets are $25 per person (1 adult and 1 child admission) and can be purchased online at www.HealingGarden.net/pondtour.php.  All proceeds are to directly benefit the Healing Garden, which provides therapeutic services and educational programs to those affected by cancer.
