Residents can mark their calendar for a special Town Meeting on Monday, October 2, to consider four capital projects facing the town.  At last night’s meeting, Selectmen received some preliminary findings on one of these projects.
  

Center Occupancy Targeted for August 1- by Ann Needle
   
Come September, all of Stow’s elementary school students should be heading back to school at a completed Center building. On Monday, the Elementary School Building Committee was assured that the entire school building should be ready for occupancy by August 1.

An Unlikely Farmer Tells His Tale by Nancy Arsenault
      At the end of June, the Stow Historical Society hosted an oral history program at the West School Museum, part of the annual summer event series at the town’s one-room schoolhouse.  Featured speakers were Dwight Sipler of Small Farm, Bob Collings of the Collings Foundation, and Don Rising, a founding member of the Stow Minutemen.

A Banner Year for Nashoba Sports by Ellen Oliver
    The 50th anniversary for Nashoba Regional High School was celebrated throughout the year, especially in the sports venues as Nashoba athletes broke records, brought home hardware and raised banners to commemorate a remarkable year of achievement.

    Click through the athletic pages for Bowdoin College’s cross country and track teams and you see Coby Horowitz’s determined figure caught mid stride in triplicate running down the page. He’s become the poster child for speed and endurance at Bowdoin,
along the way chalking
up All American honors not for one, but for three sports– cross country, indoor track, and track.
