![]() Troop 1 Toasts 100 Years - by Ann Needle As Boy Scout Troop 1 Stow celebrated its 100th anniversary Saturday, reminders were everywhere of the role the organization has played in town. The 200 guests at the Collings Foundation gala included elected officials; former and current Scout leaders; Scouts and their parents and siblings; Troop 1 alumni; and even a celebrated guest with the middle name of his hometown. "Networkers" Get the Job Done - by Ann Needle One local group has proven that out of work does not mean out of luck. Since it formed in 2002, Acton Networkers can claim that about 12,811 job seekers have come through the group’s e-mail list in the past decade, with a current membership of 2,156. Field Events Key for Nashoba Track- by Ellen Oliver Long known for their distance runners and sprinters, the Nashoba boys track team is developing a foothold in field events, allowing them to become a bigger Central Mass threat. “We are more balanced than before. We used to have hurdles and distance and nothing in between,” said Coach Jim Nosel. |
