HLP is out working to restore power. Some isolated sections of Town could be without power for several days. Stow residents can use a regional shelter that has been set up at the Atlantic Union College gym, 105 George Hill Rd., Lancaster. Hale Middle School gym is open to residents from noon until 7pm to use the showers and restrooms. The COA has a warming center set up at the Town Building during business hours. Non-potable and drinking water is available at the Police Department. Roads are hazardous with downed trees and wires. Use caution. Halloween has been postponed to an undetermined time to be announced later this week. If you need help, call Stow Public Dispatch 978-897-4545.  Please use 911 for emergencies only.

School is cancelled in the Nashoba District tomorrow, Tuesday, November 1.

Homecoming weekend kicked off Friday night, with plaid grunge from the 1990s and big ‘80s regalia. COA Makes Holiday Shopping Pay- by Ann Needle
With November less than a week away, the December holiday crush is soon to follow. Before burning gas (and patience) with several trips to the mall for holiday shopping, shoppers may want to see what the Stow Council on Aging has in store. Between the COA’s Crafts Fair in two weeks, and its weekday Gift Shop, expect an impressive collection of gifts for all ages.

Expectations ran high leading up to Nashoba Regional football team’s homecoming clash with Westboro on Friday evening, with five decades of alumni and ESPN Boston radio hosts alike buzzing about the undefeated, top-ranked Chieftains. And the home team did not disappoint, dispatching the Rangers 57-13.
