Monday October 29, 2012
10:43-9:15pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
Several callers, throughout the storm, reported that trees and wires were down all around town. The Police, Fire, HL&P, and Highway Department responded.

2:16pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Crescent Street reported that a tree came down near his/her home.  The tree just missed the windows.  The Police responded to check the area.

3:54pm FIRE
A caller from Crescent Street reported that a tree fell onto a house.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  HL&P was contacted and responded.

4:25pm FIRE
A caller from Barton Road reported that a tree fell onto a house.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  HL&P responded.

5:21pm FIRE
The Maynard Fire Department reported that a caller from Johnston Way saw flames in the woods.  The Stow Fire Department responded to check the area.  Nothing was found.

5:23pm FIRE
A caller reported that a tree fell onto a house on Lowell Drive.  The Fire Department responded.  No one was home. No major structural damage was seen.

5:37pm FIRE
A caller from Peabody Drive reported that a tree went through a roof.  HL&P was notified.  Heavy structural damage was seen.

6:14pm FIRE
The Highway Department reported that a large tree on Taylor Road took some wires down.  A transformer fire was started.  The Fire Department and HL&P responded.  The fire was extinguished.

6:26pm FIRE
A caller from Boon Road reported that there was suspicious flickering of lights in a neighbor’s home.  The Police responded.  A faulty light timer caused the flickering.

6:50pm FIRE
A caller from Peabody Drive reported that a tree fell onto a house.  No one was injured.  The Fire Department responded.

6:53pm FIRE
A caller from No Name Road reported that a tree fell onto his/her home and pulled some wires off of it.  The homeowner shut off the power manually. The Fire Department and HL&P was contacted.

7:27pm GENERAL INFO
Several callers reported that the power was out.  HL&P was contacted.

11:17pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Hudson Road requested an ambulance for his pregnant wife, who was bleeding. The
Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

 

Tuesday October 30, 2012
7:42am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller from Harvard Road reported that a power line was down.   The Police responded.

11:14am FIRE
A caller from Red Acre Road reported that a transformer exploded.  The Police and Fire Departments responded.  Nothing was found.

11:54am ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested information about carrying a concealed firearm.  An officer advised the individual.

4:41pm FIRE
A caller reported that a family member from High Street was home alone and did not have power.  He was on oxygen.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded to assist.

8:49am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Old Bolton Road reported a suspicious man sitting at the corner.  He was wearing dark clothing and watching the traffic.  The Police responded.  The man was located and spoken to.  All was OK.

9:55am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Boxboro Road reported a suspicious man walking toward Stow.  The Police responded.  The man was staying with a friend in the area and was taking pictures near the airport.  All was OK.

 

Thursday November 1, 2012
6:14am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Lifeline reported that a woman from Faxon Drive had difficulty breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

7:36am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Boon Road requested an ambulance for a man who had an extreme headache and could not stand or speak.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

 

Friday November 2, 2012
9:28am FIRE
A caller from Pompositticut Street requested assistance for an elderly woman who was cold and needed her heat turned up.  The woman was advised to contact her service company.

1:56pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Center School requested an ambulance for a student who fell and hit his head.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the student to the hospital.

9:09pm FIRE
Lifeline reported that an elderly woman from Pompositticut Street needed assistance with her furnace.  The Fire Department responded to assist.

 

Saturday November 3, 2012
4:22pm VIOLATION/ARREST
A walk-in reported that a restraining order she had against her husband had been violated.  The Boylston Police, where the offender lived, was contacted.  Brian Record, 36, from Boylston, was arrested for violating a restraining order.

7:36pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer observed two individuals at the town beach exit.  They were waiting for a ride.  All was OK.

 

Sunday November 4, 2012
5:21am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Great Road requested an ambulance because he had difficulty breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

1:00pm FOUND
A caller from Russell’s Convenience Store reported that someone left his/her credit cards and license at the store.  The Police contacted the owner.

2:56pm FIRE
A caller from Hale Road reported that there was an illegal burn in the area.  The Fire Department responded.  The homeowners were advised.  The fire was extinguished.

4:43pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Old Bolton Road requested an ambulance because she was coughing up blood.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.
