4:08am FIRE

A caller from North Shore Drive reported that there was a lot of smoke coming from his pilot stove.  The Fire Department responded.  The pilot stove malfunctioned.  The smoke was cleared and all was OK.

12:43pm FOUND

The Highway Department turned in a cell phone that was found in a pile of sand.  The Police contacted the owner.

11:22pm DISTURBANCE
A caller from Sawmill Road reported hearing seven gunshots.  The Police responded to check the area.  Nothing was found.

 

Tuesday January 1, 2013

4:13am ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in requested a ride to Hudson due to the frigid weather.  The individual had walked from the South Acton train station to the police station.  An officer assisted the individual.

11:52am ARREST

Zachary Gross, 18, from Stow, was arrested on a warrant.

1:33pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding a safety check on a home on Davis Road.  An officer advised the individual.

2:43pm ANIMAL

Lifeline reported that a wild bird flew into a home on Pompositticut Street when the front door was opened.  The Animal Control Officer was notified and responded.

7:06pm FOUND

A caller on Gates Lane reported that he found a wallet in the road.  A short time later, the owner of the wallet called to report that he lost it.  The owner picked up his wallet.

8:13pm FIRE

A caller from Red Acre Road reported a chimney fire.  The homeowner put it out with an extinguisher.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  The fire was extinguished properly and the home was cleared.

4:59pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller from Hudson Road requested to speak with an officer regarding a missing package.  An officer advised the caller.

7:44pm BYLAW VIOLATION

A caller from Taylor Road reported solicitors in the area.  The Police responded.  The solicitors were advised of the proper hours for solicitation.

11:02pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
The Fire Department responded to Percivial Street in Maynard to assist with a medical emergency.  The Stow ambulance transported a woman to the hospital.

11:10pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding an incident that happened last week.  An officer advised the caller.

6:26am FIRE

A caller from Trefry Lane reported that the carbon monoxide alarms were going off.  The Fire Department responded.  High levels of carbon monoxide were found.  The cause of the high levels was not determined at the time.

1:14pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller from Sudbury Road reported that a couple of people might go for a walk on the ice.  The caller was concerned.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was found.

4:36pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller from Harvard Road reported finding blood on the snow banks near her home.  The Police responded.  The blood appeared to be from an animal.  All was OK.

3:52pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller from Circuit Drive reported that there was a suspicious white van driving around the neighborhood.  The Police responded to check the area.  Nothing was found.

5:47pm ANIMAL

A caller reported that his wife found a stray dog on Bradley Lane.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding some stolen property.  An officer assisted the individual.

10:08pm ANIMAL

A caller on Gleasondale Road reported that she hit an owl with her car.  She believed that the owl was still in the road.  The Police responded to check the area.
