Public Safety Report… August 26, 2014

Monday August 18, 2014
1:06pm FOUND
A caller from the Stow Away Golf Club reported that a cell phone was found on the property.  The Police responded.

2:20pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Gleasondale Road requested an ambulance because she felt dizzy and light headed.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

3:37pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding an issue.  An officer advised the woman.

4:04pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding offensive wording in last week’s police log.  An officer advised the individual.

5:01pm LARCENY
A caller from Salamander Way reported that a man, who was in his late teens, took a package out of her mailbox.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was located.  The Post Office was notified.

Tuesday August 19, 2014
3:37pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding a harassment issue.  An officer advised the individual.

5:01pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that when he was pulled over earlier in the day, the officer took his license and medications.  An officer advised the man.

7:19pm ARREST
James Olsson, 49, from Lancaster, was arrested for his 3rd driving under the influence of alcohol offense.

10:37pm COMPLAINT
A caller from the Pilot Grove  Apartments reported that a group of teens were in the parking lot yelling and drinking.  The Police responded.  All the individuals were over 21.  They were advised to bring the noise level down.

Wednesday August 20, 2014
1:02am ACCIDENT/ARREST
After a car accident on Hudson Road, Mark Partridge, 24, from Stow, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.  There was no personal injury.

2:14am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Hudson Road reported that a suspicious male, wearing a sling, knocked on her door and said he was lost.  He was trying to get to Maynard.  The Police responded.  The man was given a ride to his destination in Maynard.

7:12pm LARCENY
A walk-in reported that her cell phone was taken from Lake Boon.  She accidentally left it there earlier in the day.  An officer advised the woman.

10:52pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that a group of people were riding on the hoods of vehicles and playing Frisbee in the Shaw’s parking lot.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

Thursday August 21, 2014
12:27am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Bradley Lane reported that a parked car had a bicycle on the ground near it and a person under the car.  When the caller approached the car, he heard someone say “let’s get out of here.”  The Police responded to check the area.  Nothing was found.

7:46am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller from Stow Brook Gulf reported that a very impaired individual left the location in a car.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was located.

9:17am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from the town hall reported that a suspicious man was taking pictures around the building.  The Police responded.  The man was working for the planning board.  All was OK.

12:09pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Randall Road reported that someone walked through her backyard.  When she approached the person, the dog with him became aggressive.

7:33p MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Great Road requested an ambulance for an individual with a severe leg injury.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.

10:58pm ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
A caller from Boxboro reported hearing gun shots. The Boxboro Police were notified.  The loud bangs were fireworks.

Friday August 22, 2014
12:51pm ARREST
Joshua McKenzie, 26, from Marlboro, was arrested on a warrant.

1:42pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Wildwood Road reported that a type of moving truck arrived at her neighbor’s home and stayed for only 10 minutes.  The caller knew that her neighbor was moving but the short visit seemed suspicious.  The Police responded.  The homeowner was spoken to.  The truck was delivering a part and therefore the transaction was quick.  All was OK.

2:11pm ANIMAL
A caller on Sudbury Road reported a possible rabid coyote.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

6:04pm  ACCIDENT
A caller at the Shaw’s parking lot reported a hit and run. The suspect fled on 117 toward Bolton.  The Police responded. The car involved was registered to a Boxboro resident.  The Boxboro Police continued the search.

6:52pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Packard Road reported that a box of screws was in the road.  The Police responded.

Saturday August 23, 2014
3:09pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Peabody Drive requested an ambulance for a man who fell and had a cut to the back of his head.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

4:52pm WELL BEING CHECK
A caller in the Shaw’s parking lot was helping an elderly woman load plants into her car when the woman complained of back pain.  The woman sat in her car to rest. The Police responded to check on her.  The car was gone upon arrival.

Sunday August 24, 2014
4:29pm FIRE
The Fire Department responded to Sudbury Road for a lift assist.

5:45pm FIRE
A caller on Great Road reported that smoke was coming from a home.  The Fire Department responded.  A contained grill fire was found.  All was OK.

10:27pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Robert Road complained that a live band, in the area, had been playing for hours.  The Police responded.  The resident was advised.
