Monday October 20, 2014
9:05am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Circuit Drive reported possible illegal workers in the area.  The Police responded.  Two competing mason companies were bidding for the same job.  All was OK.

12:36pm ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Maynard Police requested assistance with locating two women who stole 15-20 drinks from CVS.  They were driving a black Ford with New Hampshire plates.  The Stow Police assisted with the search.

1:42pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Johnston Way requested an ambulance for a neighbor who was on a bench outside asking for help.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the individual to the hospital.

6:08pm ANIMAL
A caller from Adams Road complained about a barking dog.  The Police responded.  A dog was located at the given address but it was not barking.  There were other dogs in the neighborhood that were all barking at the time.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

7:57pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Adams Road reported that a suspicious car was idling at a construction site.  When he approached the car, it took off.  The Police responded.  The car was located.  The woman driving had pulled over to use the cell phone.  All was OK.

Tuesday October 21, 2014
2:01am ARREST
A caller on Hudson Road reported that a car was off the road.  The Police responded.  James Concannon, 52, from Fitchburg, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

5:35pm ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Police assisted the US Postal Police with a felony warrant arrest.

7:01pm COMPLAINT
Several callers from Old Bolton Road reported that solicitors from a window company were going door to door.  The company did register and had a permit to solicit in Stow.  They were reminded that they must stop by 7pm.  All was OK.

Wednesday October 22, 2014
4:42pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Barton Road reported that her car was hit in the Market Basket parking lot.  The Police responded to assist her with paperwork.

6:30pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Hudson Road reported that her neighbor had some machinery running for about 2 hours.  It was very loud.  The Police responded.  The homeowner had used a leaf blower earlier in the day but had since stopped.  All was OK.

9:48pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Carriage Lane requested an ambulance for a boy who had a reaction to medication.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the individual to the hospital.

1:11pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Davis Road reported that a boat was running and had its light on.  The Police responded to check the area.

3:59pm ARREST
A juvenile was arrested for speeding, driving without a license and for possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Friday October 24, 2014
8:08am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from West Acton Road requested an ambulance for a woman who fell out of bed and hit her head.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

10:19am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Elm Ridge Road requested an ambulance for a woman who had difficulty breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

12:02pm WELL BEING CHECK
A Postal worker flagged down an officer to request a well-being check on a resident.  The mail had not been picked up for a few days.  The Police responded. One homeowner was out of town while the other had been home sick.  She was OK.

12:40pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer observed that a 25 MPH sign had been knocked over on Hiley Brook Road.  There were fresh tire tracks and a car was spotted with minor passenger side damage.  The car owner was spoken to.  The incident was confirmed accidental.  A report was filed.

6:15pm ANIMAL
A caller on Crescent Street reported that while he was walking his dog, a White Russian Wolf Hound ran out and attacked his dog.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

8:15pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An employee at the Stow Plaza reported that when he went out back to throw away trash, a suspicious car was parked with a man inside.  The Police responded.  The man was waiting for his girlfriend to get out of work.  All was OK.

Saturday October 25, 2014
8:44am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Great Road reported that someone had parked in his driveway but he didn’t know who it belonged to.  The Police responded.  The car belonged to a neighbor who parked it there when she had a yard sale.  All was OK.

10:18am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Boon Road reported that a stop sign had been hit and was bent over.  The Police responded to try to straighten the sign.  The Highway Department was notified.  A temporary sign was set up.

12:28pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Taylor Road reported that an older male was standing on the side of the road.  He appeared to be confused.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was located.

1:30pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Meeting House Lane requested an ambulance for a woman who had a severe headache. The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

7:10pm COMPLAINT
A caller near Delaney reported the she heard gunshots.  The Police responded.  A resident in Bolton had been setting off fireworks.

11:34pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Davis Road reported that someone was setting off fireworks.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

11:45am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Francis Circle reported that someone came to her door asking her to vote for a candidate.  The caller wanted to be sure the woman had a permit.  An officer advised the caller that a non-fundraising political door- to-door individual was allowed in Stow without a permit.
