The Independent Clause…May 14, 2014

With just a few issues on this year’s ballot, only 496 voters (10.9%) came out to the polls. Congratulations to Nicole Odekirk on winning a seat on the Nashoba Regional School District’s School Committee. This was the only contested race in this year’s town election. The funding for design and engineering funds for a combined Fire Station and Community Center passed with 397 votes.
With the election over,  Springfest is just around the corner. The community festival begins this Friday night and concludes Sunday with a variety of activities throughout Stow over the weekend.  Co-organizer Karen Kelleher says the committee is still looking for Volunteers to help with the event.  For more details, see Nancy’s article on page 1.

I was rushing around the other day and I had to head out for a bit. I stopped and got gas and some stuff in the store for the kids and continued on. After about 15 more minutes of driving, I stretched my toes and realized I still had my slippers on…
