The Independent Clause… Oct. 15, 2014

The stowindependent.com website, as you can see,  is back up and running, fingers crossed. I will spare you the details of the hours and hours I spent with tech support and on my own trying to figure out what exactly was going on and then fixing it. It took far more spare time than I have over a course of days.  I am by no means an expert on website building and fixing, but I will say I know a whole lot more now than I did before. I like learning new things, so there was an upside, but I hadn’t intended to take a crash course over four days!

Columbus Day weekend was busy, as expected, with traffic, apple pickers, event attendees and general fall activities. It’s typically the busiest weekend in Stow and with Saturday rain, Sunday was the peak of the peak.

It was also homecoming week at Nashoba High, ending with the homecoming game on Friday night. See page 15 for more.

The November Election is fast-approaching, as evidenced by the nearly non-stop campaign commercials. While we aren’t doing commercials, we are doing our part by providing a forum for the two candidates for the  State Representative seat in this district to answer questions and to ask each other a question. I hope the information helps voters to make an informed decision come election day.

I’m enjoying what could be the last of the “windows open” weather for the season. Soon enough, the baking will begin…
