Vacation and Community Photos

2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the Dental Hygiene profession . The Annual Meeting of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and concurrent celebration was held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston this June. Kathy Borofsky took her Stow Independent with her as one of the many volunteers welcoming hygienists from across the US and abroad.

Greg and Mary Ellen Troxel took The Independent to the Athabasca Glacier along Icefields Parkway in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. At the spot the photo was taken, the glacier was about 300m deep, the equivalent of the Eiffel Tower, or 3000 plates of poutine stacked on top of each other.

Andrew and mom Susan visited her parents in Omaha during April Vacation. A trip to Omaha is not complete without visiting the zoo, which is consistently ranked among the best in the country. This time they checked on the gorillas, then visited the aquarium, jungle, and desert.
