Over Thanksgiving, Tom Porcher and Cathy Leonard visited their daughter, Emily, and her husband, Eric, in Kofu, Yamanashi, Japan, where Emily is teaching English for a year. Yamanashi is a largely agricultural area located 1-2 hours west of Tokyo. It specializes in fruits of all kinds, but is most famous for peaches, grapes, and wine. Fuji does not show up in the light of this photo, we could see it towering above the mountain range in the background.
