Ruby, Ike, and Caleb Hatlevig went to visit the panhandle of Idaho and Old Mission State Park in July. The Cataldo Mission is the oldest standing building in the state. Most impressive was the ceiling, stained blue by the Coeur d'Alene Indians using crushed huckleberries. The children promised to not replicate the technique in Stow.

The Stow Independent, along with Tyler, Lily and Nate Brown and Grayson Edwards, enjoyed a beautiful beach day at Aquinnah on Martha’s Vineyard. The kids had a great time body surfing and even got to go to the top of the recently moved Gay Head Lighthouse at the edge of the clay cliffs that border the beach.
