Monday October 15, 2012
9:18am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller from Wildlife Way requested information about the speed limit in his neighborhood.  An officer advised the caller.

 
10:50am FOLLOW-UP
A caller from Wheeler Road reported that a person was trying to scam money off the Internet and was possibly headed to Stow to collect it.  The Police responded.

 
1:05pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller at the Delaney Project requested an ambulance for a person who collapsed during a walk.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

 
8:12pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Gates Lane reported that it sounded like someone was shooting a handgun in the area.  The Police responded to check the area.  A neighbor reported that it was fireworks.  Nothing was found.

 

 

Tuesday October 16, 2012
7:46am COMPLAINT
A caller on Marlboro Road reported that it looked like paint spilled at the stop sign.  The Police responded.  There was paint on the road.  The Highway Department was notified.

 
8:20am     SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Great Road reported that a man was banging on a neighbor’s door and talking to himself.  The Police responded.  No one was located.  A short time later, the homeowner reported that the man was delivering furniture to her home.

 
9:39am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller at the Fire Academy requested an ambulance for an individual with a leg injury.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.

 
8:58pm FIRE
The Sudbury Police reported that there was heavy smoke near the Fire Academy.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  The Academy was having a training class.

 

 

Wednesday October 17, 2012
11:13am ARREST
Cleyton Alvarenga, 37, from Worcester, was arrested for a warrant.

 
12:49pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Elm Ridge Road reported that while he was away, his neighbor reported that a light went on in his house at 3 in the morning.  The caller requested that someone check his home.  The Police responded.  The home was secure.

 
2:30pm WELL BEING CHECK
The Post Office requested a well-being check on a resident who had not picked up his mail for a few days.  That was not like him.  The Police responded.  No one was home and the car was not in the garage.

 
10:55pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A walk-in reported that he needed an ambulance.  He believed he just had a heart attack. The Fire/Rescue Department responded.  The ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

 

 

Thursday October 18, 2012
6:34am     SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Boon Road reported that a suspicious woman in dark clothing was walking around the area.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

 
8:25am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Elm Ridge Road reported that a suspicious pick-up truck was driving up and down the road.  The Police responded.  The truck was not located.

 
11:42am FIRE
A caller from Hale Middle School reported that two students were trapped in the elevator.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  A moment later the school reported that the children were out of the elevator and OK.

 
5:00pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Crescent Street reported that a woman was soliciting in the area. The Police responded.  A woman was located and advised to register at the station.

 
8:41pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding threats she and her daughter had received on Facebook.  An officer advised the woman.

 

 

Friday October 19, 2012
12:25am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Whispering Way requested an ambulance for a 3-year-old who was coughing and had difficulty breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the child to the hospital.

 
2:10am COMPLAINT
A caller from Bradley Lane reported that he heard a loud bang and yelling.  The Police responded.  Nothing was found.

 
5:24am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Great Road reported that a man with a flashlight was going through a truck parked at the Center School.  The Police responded.  The man was there to pick up the construction truck and trailer.  All was OK.

 
5:33am LARCENY
A caller from Maple Street reported that two of his political signs were stolen.  An officer advised the man.

 
10:14am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Circuit Drive requested an ambulance for a man who was not feeling well. Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

 
10:31am LARCENY
A caller from Carver Hill Orchards reported that someone may have broken in and stolen money.  A report was filed.

 
3:28pm ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Chief of Police at Regis College requested a well-being check at a student’s home in Stow.  The student could not be contacted for 12 hours.  The Stow Police responded to check her home.  The student was located.

 

 

Saturday October 20, 2012
12:24am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Johnston Way reported that she heard a car “tooting its horn”.  The Police responded.  Nothing was found.

 
11:33am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that a suspicious female was at the Union Church asking for money.  The caller felt like the woman was trying to access the cars across the street.  The Police responded.  The woman was advised.

 
2:51pm ANIMAL
A caller at Shelburne Farm reported that two Huskies were in a car.  They seemed hot.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.  The dogs’ owner gave the Animal Control Officer a hard time.  Further assistance was requested.  The owner was advised.

 
2:56pm ANIMAL
A caller from Old Bolton Road reported that there was an opossum in his garage that was not moving.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.  The opossum must have been “playing possum” because a short time later, the caller reported that it left the garage as soon as he went inside.

 
10:46pm  SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Gleasondale Road reported that a woman got out of her car and started walking away.  The male in the car had the hazards on and was yelling.  The caller was concerned.  The Police responded.  The couple was having a verbal argument.

 
Sunday October 21, 2012
9:20pm     COMPLAINT
A caller from Hastings Street complained about a low-flying aircraft in the area. The Police responded to check the area but explained that they do not enforce aircraft rules; the FAA does.  The caller was not satisfied and requested to speak with the Chief of Police.  The information was logged.

 
9:48am ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
A caller on Great Road reported that a car was tailgating and swerving on the road.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was located.

 
6:47pm MISSING PERSON
A caller at the Delaney Project reported that one of her friends got separated from the group while they were out for a walk.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The State Police Air Wing and K-9 were requested for assistance. Harvard, Boxboro and Bolton Fire/Rescue Departments were also notified.  The missing party was located in the parking lot.  All was OK.
