Monday August 8, 2016

10:12am ACCIDENT

A caller on South Acton Road reported that a car hit a tree.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported an individual to the hospital for an unknown medical injury.

10:39am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller from Kirkland Road reported that his neighbor contacted him to report that a Ford Explorer, with government plates, was at his house.  Two men walked around the property and then left.  The Police responded.  Nothing was found.

11:30am LOST

A caller reported that her car might have been stolen.  The Police responded to check the area.

2:30pm ANIMAL

A caller reported that a groundhog was walking around in circles on a path near the lake.  The caller was unable to give an exact location.

4:05pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A caller from Heather Lane reported that a man was not breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

4:41pm FIRE

The station contacted the Fire Department because there was a strong chemical smell in the dispatch area.  The Fire Department responded.  The station was checked.  No cause was located.

5:46pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

An officer observed a car at the pump house on State Road.  Three individuals were fishing there.  They were advised that the area was no trespassing and that they needed a fishing license to fish.

2:39pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A postal worker reported that her mail truck was hit by a young male.  He cut his finger.  The worker spoke with the driver’s mother and he was OK.  The information was logged.

3:10pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller reported that she heard about some breaking and entering situations in the neighborhood.  She was concerned.  An officer advised the woman.

4:27pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding someone using her information online.  An officer advised the woman.

5:01pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller reported that she drove past an individual on Old Bolton Road who was wearing a white mask, bunny ears, a striped sweatshirt and a bowtie.  The Police responded.  The male reported that his friend dared him to wear ridiculous clothing while walking around the area. An officer advised the costumed man.

7:27pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller reported that he was locked inside the gates at the old Pompo School.  He was walking the trails and when he came back to leave, the gates were locked.  The Police responded.

8:28pm ARREST

Cory Taylor, 20, from Sudbury, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and for not having an inspection sticker.

11:00pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT

A caller on South Acton Road reported that a car was driving with no headlights.  The driver used his cell phone light to see the road.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

 

Wednesday August 10, 2016

12:03am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller on Barton Road reported that he found a boat floating near the dam.  The caller secured the boat.  The Police responded.  The owner was notified.

9:56am ANIMAL

A caller from Great Road reported that his neighbor’s dog sitting service had all the dogs loose.  They were running through the caller’s yard.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

2:09pm COMPLAINT

A caller reported that she was very upset that she could not find out where the Stow Police towed her car.  The Police investigated a bit and found out that the Maynard Police had her car towed last week.  The woman was given a number for follow up.

5:40pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in reported that his car was trashed by officers the night he was arrested.  An officer advised the individual.

7:02pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in reported that while she was travelling home, a Subaru followed her all the way from Natick to Stow.  She finally lost the car when she turned down Boxboro Road.  An officer advised the woman that she should have notified the Police when it occurred or even turned into the police station.  The woman was nervous to contact the police because of a “bad experience” with a different police department.

7:05pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A walk-in reported that she noticed a suspicious man at the town beach.  He was in his car, watching the children play.  She didn’t think to report it until she arrived home and read about another suspicious man at the beach last week.  An officer advised the woman to contact the station right away if this should happen again.

11:10pm ACCIDENT
A caller on Gleasondale Road reported a single car accident.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An individual was trapped in the car.  Life flight and Medflight were contacted, but out on missions.  The Fire Department was able to extricate the individual and the ambulance transported him/her to the hospital.

 

Thursday August 11, 2016

7:28am ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller from Davis Road reported that there was a green skim layer on the water at Lake Boon.  She collected a sample.  An officer explained that the Board of Health would be notified and they would go out to collect the necessary water samples.  The woman also inquired about the requirements for marking a personal dock.  An officer advised the woman.

8:03am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller on Edson Street reported that an older man on a bike, with a large plastic bag, was riding in the area.  When she turned back to see where he was going, the man had disappeared.

11:10am ASSIST CITIZEN

A walk-in reported that while his daughter was driving by Stow Gardens, something hit her windshield and broke it.  An officer advised the man.

5:00pm COMPLAINT

A caller on Whitman Street reported that three kids in a golf cart almost hit her while she was crossing the street.  The Police responded to check the area.  The kids were located and advised.

7:59pm ASSIST CITIZEN

A caller reported that her daughter had received harassing texts from a boy she went to high school with.  He threatened to post indecent photos of her online.  The Police responded.

9:34am MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A caller from Grove Hill Road requested an ambulance for a man who had a possible heart attack.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

11:19am MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A caller from Walcott Street requested an ambulance for a man with chest pain.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded and transported the man to the hospital.

 

Saturday August 13, 2016

4:35am MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A caller from Taylor Road requested an ambulance for an individual who had a seizure.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.

1:44pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller from Athens Street reported that two juveniles were walking down the street toward a property that was for sale.  The Police responded to check the area.

9:15pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Sudbury Road reported hearing gun shots in the area.  The Police responded.  Nothing was seen or heard.

10:47pm ANIMAL

A walk-in reported that he found a dog named “Brodo.”  He contacted the number on the tags but would take care of the dog until the owner responded.  The information was logged.

 

Sunday August 14, 2016

9:24am LARCENY
An officer observed that the Peabody Drive sign had been taken.  The Highway Department was notified.

11:46am ANIMAL

A caller on West Acton Road reported that there was an injured bird on the side of the road.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

4:37pm ANIMAL

A caller from Walcott Street reported that a German Short Haired Pointer was walking along but it did not appear to be ok.  The back legs were shaky.  The Police and Animal Control Officer responded.  The owner was contacted.  She was aware of his bad leg and stated that he was old.  The dog was secured on the porch with water until the owner arrived a short time later.

8:37pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

A caller from Elm Ridge Road reported that a truck was parked in front of her home for about 10 minutes.  A young man got out of the truck and ran up the road.  The truck drove away.  The caller was concerned.  The Police responded.  Nothing was found.

10:12pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY

A caller from Warren Road requested an ambulance because she had difficulty breathing and heat exhaustion.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.
