Public Safety Report…March 19, 2014

Excerpts from the Public Safety Logs. Please note, arrests are made based on probable cause but do not determine  guilt or innocence until proven in court.

Monday March 10, 2014
5:06am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Elm Ridge Road requested an ambulance for a woman who fell on the ice.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

6:02am LARCENY
A caller from Randall Road reported that his trash barrel was stolen.  The Police responded to check the area.

8:15am ANIMAL
A caller on Great Road reported that he/she found a Golden Retriever with a brown leather collar.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

9:40am ANIMAL
A caller on Marlboro Road reported an unfriendly pitbull.  The Police responded to check the area.  Nothing was found.

4:25pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding an issue with her neighbor.  An officer advised the woman.

5:55pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding credit card fraud. An officer advised the woman.

9:16pm  ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Milford Police Department requested assistance with locating a woman who had active warrants.  She was believed to be in Stow.  The Stow Police assisted with locating the woman.

Tuesday March 11, 2014
1:13am WELL BEING CHECK
A caller reported to the Franklin Police Department that a family member was in Stow threatening to commit suicide.  The Stow police responded to check the area in which the person was said to be located.  The Franklin Police later reported the person was found at home.

12:28pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
The ambulance transported an individual from Boxboro Road to the hospital for a medical emergency.

12:58pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Great Road reported that a bag of trash was in the road.  The Police responded.  The trash was removed.

2:44pm SERVE SUMMONS
The Police served a summons to an individual at Hale Middle School.

3:03pm FIRE
A caller at Crow Island reported that two dogs were in the water and could not get out, due to ice.  The Police responded.  The dogs were rescued from the water.  They were OK.

Wednesday March 12, 2014
12:31am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer checked on a car at the Center School.  The car belonged to an individual who had been reported as suicidal the night before.  The Fire/Rescue Department responded.  The individual was located and transported to the hospital.

12:51am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from North Shore Drive requested an ambulance for a woman who fell down a flight of stairs.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.

9:11am ANIMAL
A caller on Marlboro Road reported that a brown pitbull was running around.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

9:39am SERVE SUMMONS
The Police served a summons to an individual on High Street.

2:17pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding damage to her car.  An officer advised the woman.

6:41pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from North Shore Drive requested an ambulance for a man who had a seizure.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  After a thorough evaluation, the man refused further medical care.

6:58pm DISABLED
A caller from Great Road reported a disabled car in front of her home.  The Police responded.

Thursday March 13, 2013
10:32am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Great Road reported that someone hit his fence. Photos of the damage were taken and he contacted his insurance agency. An officer advised the caller.

12:46pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Boxboro Road reported that a car ran into a snow bank.  When the caller went to check on the operator, the car was still running but no one was around.  The Police responded to check the area.

4:44pm ARREST
Wilfredo Garcia, 28, from Hudson, was arrested for driving without a license.

7:13pm ANIMAL
A caller from Wetherbee Lane reported that his Black Labrador had been missing for 4 hours.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Friday March 14, 2014
2:11pm FOUND
A walk-in found a wallet in a shopping cart at Shaw’s.  The Police contacted the owner.

2:40pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding someone cutting down trees on his property.  An officer advised the caller.

3:54pm LARCENY
A caller at Global Fitness reported that $800 worth of things had been taken from his wife’s locker.  The Police responded.  Upon arrival, the woman had located all her items.  Nothing was taken.

10:09pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Walcott Street reported that a home across the street had been torn down but there was a light on the sight.  The Police responded.  The property was checked.  Nothing was found.

Saturday March 15, 2014
2:29am ARREST
Lauren Renaud, 33, from Maynard, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

9:10am ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT/ARREST
A caller reported that a white pickup truck was overloaded.  The Police responded.  Roger Carpenter, 60, from Marlborough, was arrested for having an unsecured load on his truck and for operating a car with a revoked license.

11:09am    ACCIDENT
Multiple callers reported a two car accident on Hudson Road.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The occupants were transported to the hospital.

11:50am    ANIMAL
A caller from Taylor Road reported that there was a possible rabid raccoon near her home.  The Animal Control Officer responded.  The animal was sick and was removed from the area.

5:05pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller from Orchard Drive reported that some cars, on both sides of the road, were parked too close to each other making it difficult for emergency vehicles to pass.  The Police responded.  All car owners were spoken to and the cars were moved to one side.

10:05pm ARREST
Stephanie Moore, 46, from Concord, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sunday March 16, 2014
11:52am ACCIDENT
A caller at the Stow Shopping Plaza reported that his car was hit while he was in the store.  The Police responded.  A report was filed for a hit and run.

12:59pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Hale Road requested an ambulance for a man who had a diabetic attack.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

3:53pm ANIMAL
A caller from Adams Road reported that a German Shepherd dog was running loose in his yard.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.
