Public Safety Report… March 5, 2014

Monday February 24, 2014
8:53am     ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that he found a dog on Boxboro Road.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.  The owner was located and the dog was brought home.

Tuesday February 25, 2014
9:59am     ACCIDENT
A caller on Great Road reported a two-car accident.  There were no known injuries.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.

12:44pm COMPLAINT
A caller at the Stow Shopping Center reported that a Black Crown Victoria pulled up to him/her and stated “Next time you cut off a police officer be more careful!”  Then the operator threatened to give the caller a ticket.  The Stow Police ran the plates and the car/officer was not registered in Stow.  His identity was unknown.

4:05pm ANIMAL
A caller reported that when she walks around the neighborhood, the neighbor’s dogs are aggressive.  They bark and snarl at her.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Wednesday February 26, 2014
5:33am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Great Road requested an ambulance for a man who had a high fever.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

12:56pm ANIMAL
A caller reported that two small dogs were walking around the neighborhood.  She did not know them.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Thursday February 27, 2014
7:04pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller at Russell’s reported that her car was hit while she was in the store.  An officer advised the caller.

11:25pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer checked on a party in the field at the Stow Community Park.  The individual was a recreational worker who was checking on the ice.  All was OK.

Friday February 28, 2014
7:23am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller at the new construction site on Warren Road reported that an unresponsive male was found.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.   The State Police Detectives, Building Inspector, OSHA and Office of Industrial Accidents were all notified to begin an investigation.

11:51am ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
A caller from Hudson reported that an SUV crashed into a snow bank in her yard.  The Stow Police informed the Hudson Police of the situation.

4:56pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
An ambulance transported a resident of Warren Road to the hospital, per doctor’s orders.

5:27pm     ARREST
Monique Campbell, 38, from Maynard, was arrested for possession of a class E drug and for driving an unregistered and uninsured car.

Saturday March 1, 2014
2:48am     MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Taylor Road requested an ambulance for an individual with chest pain.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.

9:45am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Whitman Street reported that a car pulled into her driveway; a man went to the door and knocked very hard.  The caller was scared.  The Police responded to check the area.  The car was located.  The man and woman were Jehovah’s Witnesses and were allowed to go door to door.  They were not soliciting anything.

10:27am LARCENY
A caller from Great Road reported that over $500 was stolen from him.  An officer advised the man.  A report was filed.

12:26pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Old Bolton Road requested an ambulance for a female who was very lethargic.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The  ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.

10:09pm ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Hudson Police reported that an individual, who assaulted another individual with a baseball bat, fled toward Stow.  The Stow Police responded to check the area.

Sunday March 2, 2014
12:21pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Hudson Road stopped to ask a man, who was taking pictures of houses with a zoom lens, what he was doing.  The man responded with obscenities and fled in his car.  The Police responded to check the area.

8:44pm ANIMAL
A caller from Taylor Road reported that a medium-sized white dog with yellow spots ran across the street in front of his car.  The caller was concerned.  The Animal Control Officer was notified.

9:56pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Harvard Road requested an ambulance for an individual who had difficulty breathing.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The ambulance transported the patient to the hospital.
