During a visit to his native Switzerland, Stow resident Raoul Graf brought the Stow Independent and his older children living in California, Olivia and Tommy, to the famous chapel of Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp, France, built by Le Corbusier 60 years ago. Another memorable moment of many was the final hike to Creux du Van, Val de Travers, in Switzerland.

Warren and Brenda Mason and the Stow Independent visited former Stow residents Bob and Betty Kaseta in Denver, Colorado where they attended a Rockies game. The Masons also visited the Arizona Diamondbacks on this trip so that makes 27 of the 30 major league baseball parks they have visited.
