Monday June 9, 2014
10:04am WELL BEING CHECK
The Principal from Center School requested a well being check on a student who was absent, but the school did not receive a phone call. The Police responded. No one was home. A short time later, the school located the child with his/her mother. All was OK.
11:43am ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that a woman on Gleasondale Road was walking a very sick looking dog. The Police responded to check the area. No one was located.
1:05pm FIRE
A caller from Lantern Lane reported hearing a loud explosion. The Police and Fire Department responded. A small fire was located. The fire was safely extinguished.
4:09pm ARREST
A caller at the Delaney Project reported that someone appeared to be stealing a turtle. The Police responded. Pheng Eng, 44, from Lowell, was arrested on a warrant.
4:10pm ANIMAL
A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding the well being of some baby goats. The caller was referred to the Animal Control Officer.
8:38pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
Jorge DaSilva, 29, from Worcester, was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

7:28am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller on Crescent Street reported that there was a transformer fire. The Police responded to check the area. Nothing was found.
3:09pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Sylvan Drive requested an ambulance for a woman who fell. The Police and Fire/Rescue responded. An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.
4:58pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Pompositticut Street reported that someone was playing loud music. The Police responded. Nothing was found.
7:55pm ASSIST CITIZEN
An officer assisted a few motorists with a turtle in the road. The turtle safely made it across the road. All was OK.
9:12pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in requested to speak with an officer regarding an ongoing harassment issue. An officer advised the individual.

A caller on Old Bolton Road reported that a snapping turtle was sitting in the road. The Police responded to check the area. Nothing was found.
12:04pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Sudbury Road complained about airplane noise.
12:57pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Barton Road reported hearing and feeling loud explosions from the Collings Foundation. The Police responded. Nothing was heard.

A caller from Walcott Street reported that someone cut the wires to his internet and phone. The Police responded.

A caller from Wheeler Road requested to speak with an officer regarding someone blackmailing him on the internet. An officer advised the caller.
12:48pm ANIMAL
Several callers on South Acton Road reported that a dog was running in and out of traffic. The dog had a leash still attached. The Police responded. The dog was not located.
2:04pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that her mail had been stolen. An officer advised the woman to contact the Post Office.
4:11pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Sawmill Road reported that someone at Shaw’s went through her purse and she had money/credit cards missing. The Police responded. A report was filed.
5:24pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller on Randall Road reported hearing gunshots. The Police responded. The Hudson Rod and Gun Club reported that there was a large group there shooting rifles. All was OK.
6:10pm ANIMAL
A caller reported that a neighbor’s dog had been barking for 25 minutes. No one was home but the caller wanted the information logged. An officer advised the caller.

1:18pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Saint Isidore’s Church reported that two cars have been parking in the parking lot recently for short periods of time. A red car drives in, parks and leave a few minutes later; then a black car does the same. Extra patrol was requested.
11:50pm ANIMAL
A caller on Gleasondale Road reported that she found a dog on the side of the road wearing Stow dog tags. The Animal Control officer responded. The dog’s owners were located and retrieved the dog.

12:44pm COMPLAINT
A caller near Marble Hill Farm on Great Road reported that a silver Hummer drove into Maynard and it appeared to have a silver handgun pointing out the sunroof. The Maynard Police was notified. The vehicle was located and the gun was confirmed to be a toy.
6:35pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A walk-in reported that someone destroyed a Collings Foundation open house sign on Barton Road and replaced it with an anti-tank sign. There was a threatening note that stated if anyone took down the tank sign, all the other Collings Foundation signs would be removed and/or damaged. The Police responded. The incident was logged.
9:44pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
Multiple callers on Sawmill Road reported hearing gunshots or fireworks in the area. The Police responded. Nothing was found or heard.
11:05pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from North Shore Drive reported that she saw a man looking into her window. She was concerned because she was alone with her child. The Police advised her to lock all the doors and they responded to check the area. The home was checked and found to be secure. No one was located.

1:24am MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Canterbury Road requested an ambulance because she had weakness in her arm. The Police and Fire/Rescue responded. An ambulance transported the woman to the hospital.
12:30pm COMPLAINT
A caller from Barton Road reported a large amount of traffic. The Police responded. No problems were located.
