Ash Wednesday Service at the Union Church of Stow
Feb 13th 7:30PM: Please join us for this quiet, contemplative service to welcome the season of Lent. The service will include communion and the opportunity to receive ashes.

Friendship Dinner at the Union Church
Please join us Friday Feb 15th – 5PM to 6:30PM for a ham & bean supper! Although there is no charge, donations are accepted. There’s no reason to eat alone when you can join us for friendly company. Fundraiser for Class of 2015
The class officers for Nashoba Regional High School’s class of 2015 are hosting a fundraiser at The Strand in Clinton on Monday February, 18th from 7-10pm and we will be showing The Hunger Games. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults and will be available at school lunch and at the door beginning at 6:15pm. Money raised will assist the class in paying for activities such as prom, senior banquet, class gift, and homecoming events. NRSD February Vacation Enrichment Program
The Nashoba Regional School District will again run an enrichment program during the February school vacation from February 19th – 22nd. 2013-2014 SMS (Sudbury, Maynard, Stow) Youth Hockey Registration
Registration for next year’s Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, and Bantams (birth years 2007 – 1999) will be open until Friday, February 22. Little Devils (Mite-in-House) will have a separate registration opening later this spring. Go tohttp://www.smshockey.com to register your player(s). Placement Sessions for the 2013-2014 season will begin the week of February 25. You MUST be registered to take part in the placement sessions. The SMS Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam travel teams will participate in the Valley Hockey League for the 2013-2014 season. The Valley Hockey League (www.valleyhockeyleague.com) (VHL) consists of more than 60 youth hockey programs with over 550 teams playing in 30 different rinks. It is regarded as one of the most competitive youth hockey leagues in the Northeast. SMS Mite league will be playing in Northstar Youth Hockey League in Westborough, MA. Questions? “The Music Man” at Randall Library
Saturday, February 23, 2013, 10:30am- Ed Morgan “The Music Man”-Music Performance-Come enjoy an interactive sing-along for children ages 1 to 99 at the Randall Library in Stow with Ed Morgan “The Music Man”. Nashoba Girls Lacrosse Registration Extended
Nashoba Girls Lacrosse 2013 Spring Season Registration has been extended. Some player spaces are still available for the U13 (5th&6th grade) and U15 (7th&8th) teams so registration has been extended. Registration will remain open until March 1 or until player capacity is met. NGL is open to families in the Nashoba Regional School District as well as surrounding towns such as Hudson, Maynard and Leominster. Practices and home games are held in Bolton.
Open House: First Parish Church of Stow and Acton
First Parish Church (FPC) of Stow and Acton (Unitarian Universalist) is hosting an open house Saturday, March 9th, 10 am-12 noon in Fellowship Hall. This open house will include information for families with children who are interested in learning about our Religious Education (RE) program. Please feel free to bring your children. BINGO, Games and Fun for Kids
Girl Scout Troop 72526 is hosting a night of BINGO, Games, and Fun for kids on Friday, March 15th from 6-8pm. Join us at St. Isidore’s (429 Great Rd, Stow) for an evening filled with fun, games, and dancing! All games and fun included in this 2 hour period for a suggested donation of $5 per child. Prizes for everyone! Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Children under the age of 5 are asked to have a parent or guardian attend with them. Annual Arts Buffet Festival
The 11th annual Arts Buffet Festival is Coming! Please mark your calendars for a fun day of kids’ arts and crafts, musical performances and an elementary school art show on Saturday, March 16th from 11-2 in The Center School gym in Stow, sponsored by the Stow PTO. We have numerous arts and craft projects planned, covering an array of mediums, as well as some exciting idea starters for the always-popular Recycled Art Station. Admission is $6 per artist. If financial hardship would discourage you from attending, please see Center School Nurse Donna Lindstrom for complimentary admission. We need an army of volunteers to run the Arts Buffet safely and successfully. Please consider volunteering for set-up on Friday, March 15th, a shift during the event on the 16th, or clean-up. “Hello, Dolly!” returns to stage at Nashoba Regional High School! The romantic webs woven by New York City’s Dolly Gallagher Levi, widow and matchmaker extraordinaire, will amaze and amuse you as she sets her sights on Mr. Horace Vandergelder, wealthy bachelor from small-time Yonkers. Comical complications ensue, involving a host of mismatched partners all headed for a rendezvous at the Harmonia Gardens. Will each person find the ideal match? Presented by talented Nashoba students under the direction of Mr. Bill Grady. Good news! This year the Easter Bunny will be joining The Stow Lions for breakfast Sunday morning March 24th, 8:00 a.m. -11:30a.m. at Hale School Cafeteria, Hartley Road, Stow.
