NRHS Final Choral Concert
On Thursday May 23rd at 7PM, Susan Mianulli the NRHS Choral Director will showcase the talents of the Nashoba Choral Groups. The show is always a magical night with many solos and enchanting ballads for your pleasure. The show starts at 7:00 in the NRHS Auditorium, and costs $5, with students and seniors free.

Stow Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies
On Monday May 27th at 2pm, all veterans, including active duty and reserve personnel from Stow and surrounding communities are invited to participate in the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies. Also encouraged to march in the parade are the Stow Town Selectmen, Stow Boy & Girl Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, and the Center School First Graders who, with the help of the Stow Garden Club, have been growing flowers for this occasion. The Parade will form in the Center School parking area on Rt. 117, just West of the Rt. 62 intersection. We will begin the march to the Brookside Cemetery promptly at 2:00pm. Transportation will be provided for veterans unable to walk the parade route. The second part of the ceremonies will be held at the Library and War Memorial. State Representative Kate Hogan will be the featured speaker. Music will be provided by the NRHS Marching Band and Stow Minutemen. For those unable to attend, we ask that you observe the National Moment of Silence at 3:00pm. Thank you in advance for your participation as we remember our fallen veterans from all wars.

SAPN Pre-Kindergarten Pizza Party
Is your child entering kindergarten in September 2013? Please join future classmates and their caregivers at the Stow Area Parents Network’s Pre-K Pizza Party at Stow Community Park on Friday, May 31 from 3:30-5pm. The group will be under the pavilion with food and drinks, while the kids play on the playgroup, shoot some hoops, or ride their bikes along the path. This free event is open to the public and siblings are welcome to join in the fun. Boy Scouts Annual Paper Shredding Event June 1st
Friends of Boy Scout Troop 1 Stow will hold their fifth annual paper shredding event on Saturday June 1st from 9 AM – Noon at the Hale Middle School parking lot. The troop will quickly, thoroughly and securely destroy business and personal documents such as tax records, bank statements, bills, and credit card receipts.

Cost for the service is 25¢/pound. A typical full banker’s box weighs approximately 40 lbs or $10.00. Scouts will unload your materials, weigh them, and bring them to the shredder where you can observe the shredding process. Cardboard boxes will be returned. Funds raised will be used to support the activities of Stow Boy Scouts Troop 1. Neighboring town residents are encouraged to participate. Visit http://troop1stow.net/recycling for more information.

Golf Tournament Fundraiser
The Nashoba Chieftains Football team is holding the 13th Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser on June 2, 2013 at Stow Acres Country Club. All proceeds will benefit the NRHS Chieftains football program. Shot gun start at 1:30 pm with a check in at 12 noon. Dinner included in the fee at 6pm. Cost to play: Individual golfers $120, Foursome $480. Dinner only option $35. Thursday Nights are Cruise-in/Fly-in Nights This Summer in Stow
In cooperation with EAA #196, Friends of Minute Man Air Field, and Nancy’s Air Field Café, the Rotary Clubs of Nashoba Valley, Acton-Boxborough, and Maynard are holding the first annual Wings & Wheels program, a summer-long cruise-in/fly-in event at the Minute Man Air Field (302 Boxboro Road) in Stow, MA. The event will run on Thursday nights from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for 12 weeks, June 6 through August 29 (except July 4).

Each week will feature different makes of cars; however, all cars are welcome to cruise to the air field every week. The event will also feature a fly-in for airplanes. The New Revival Coffeehouse Presents The Boxcar Lilies
The Boxcar Lilies is a modern folk trio known for their superb songwriting and innovative harmonies. They accompany themselves on guitar, clawhammer banjo, concert ukele, electric bass and washboard. They’ll be playing at the New Revival Coffeehouse on Saturday, June 8th at First Parish Church of Stow and Acton, 353 Great Road in Stow (at the intersection of Rts. 117 and 62). All are welcome. Randall Library’s June Teen Lit Book Club Meeting
Randall Library’s June Book Club Meeting will be Wednesday, June 19th at 4:30pm. This month’s book is Feed by local author M.T. Anderson. Come join Youth Services Librarian Martha for a book discussion and snacks. Registration is not required.

Booster Club Brick Fundraiser
Now is your chance to make your mark and become an everlasting part of Nashoba Chieftain History. Free Family Training from Minute Man Arc
Minute Man Arc is offering a free family training on Thursday, 5/23, “Growing Up with Autism and Other Related Disabilities in Our Family.” A panel of 5 people who have first-hand knowledge of what it is like to have a sibling that is “different” will join us for this informative evening. The presenters are both female and male, ranging in age from teenagers to age 50, and will speak about their vast array of experiences, including what is was/has been like to grow up in a family where 1 or more siblings have extra challenges, what worked in their family, how they include their siblings in their life, etc. This will be an interactive program where we hope stories will be shared and ideas will be generated. Just Cause 3 Day, 60 Mile Breast Cancer Walk
On May 31, June 1 and 2, a small group of women will be walking one step at a time, to support the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden and the Gillette Center for women’s cancer at Mass General Hospital. 100% of the money raised will be given directly to these organizations. If someone you know has been touched by breast cancer, we can walk in their honor or memory. On Day 1, we will walk from the Healing Garden in Harvard to Nancy’s Airfield Café at the Minuteman Airport for lunch and walk back. On Day 2, we will walk to the Colonial Inn in Concord and walk back the next day. We will be stopping at the Stowaway Inn for lunch. Thanks to the generosity of Nancy Mc Pherson and Celia Hyde for being annual supporters for the walk.
