Stow Area Parents Network (SAPN) Summer Playgroup Schedule
To accommodate the varying and busy schedules of our members, playgroups for the months of June, July, and August will take place two times per week,on Tuesday and Thursdays (details are below).  Children of all ages are invited to join us at either or both playgroups.  Baby playgroup will continue to meet Wednesdays from noon to 1 pm through June 19th at the Randall Library.  Regular indoor playgroups (baby and all ages) will resume in September.

Tuesdays:  3:30-5:30pm at Pine Bluffs, Sudbury Rd., Stow

Thursdays in June:  10am-12pm at Jones Field, Corner of Stow St. and Martin St., Acton

Thursdays in July and August:  10am-12pm at Center School, 403 Great Rd., Stow

Open Drumming Circle 
The First Parish Church of Stow and Acton would like to invite anyone who likes to have fun with rhythm to come and participate in our monthly drumming circle, FPCDrums, on Friday, June 14th.  This drumming group meets the second Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the church vestry (downstairs in the main church building).  Bring your own instrument, or use one from the church’s growing collection, and join in.  All ages are welcome and the facility is wheelchair accessible.  Donations are appreciated (but not required).  The church is located at 353 Great Road (at the intersection of Routes 117 and 62) in Stow.  For more information, call our church office at 978-897-8149 or visit our website at www.fpc-stow-acton.org.

Stow Community Blood Drive
Saturday June 15th, 2013;  8 AM – 1 PM. Please consider taking a little time out of your day to save a life at the Stow Community Blood Drive at St. Isidore Church on Great Road in Stow. If you do not have an appointment, please call 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule one. This will help to cut down on your wait time. We will always take walk-ins too ! I’m Not Finished Yet!  A Retrospective of 40 Years of Artwork.
In celebrating her 80th birthday,  Stow Artist Judith Jaffe Halprin decided to organize the artwork she has created over the years. She will present  “I’m Not Finished Yet” an overview of 40 years of her artwork that can be seen at: Artspace Gallery, 63 Summer Street, Maynard, June 15 – July 13. Decibels Foundation’s  11th Annual Golf Tournament
Join us for the Decibels Foundation’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, June 17th at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow, MA.  The event starts at 9am and includes lunch delivered on the course, a buffet dinner, an award ceremony and silent auction. SYBA (Stow Youth Basketball Association) – Annual Meeting
On Tuesday, June 18, 2013, SYBA will be holding its Annual Meeting at the Randall Library from 7pm-9pm.  We welcome any newcomers to join us.  If your kids are part of the Bomber’s Program or played on a Stow Recreation Basketball team this year, this is a great opportunity to get involved and help to continue to run these successful programs (which are all volunteer based).  Come support the great sport of basketball here in Stow.

New Book Club Meeting
The next meeting of the New Book Club will be at 7PM, Tuesday,June18 at the library.

Our read for this month is The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley.  This is the world Flavia Sabina de Luce who is an 11 year old delightfully nasty piece of work. Randall Library  Upcoming Events
Randall Library’s June Book Club Meeting will be Wednesday, June 19th at 4:30pm. This month’s book is Feed by local author M.T. Anderson. Come join Youth Services Librarian Martha for a book discussion and snacks. Registration is not required.

Thursday, June 20th, at 7:00pm- The Little Holocaust Survivors: And the English School That Saved Them-Author Barbara Wolfenden at the Randall Library in Stow- Author Barbara Wolfenden will be at the Randall Library to discuss her research and read from her book The Little Holocaust Survivor: And the English School That Saved Them. Based on dozens of original interviews, Ms Wolfenden has compiled a fascinating history of the Stoatley Rough School in England that became a refuge and shelter for traumatized Jewish children fleeing Nazi persecution in Europe during World War II. Books will be available for sale and signing.

Saturday, June 22, 2013 @ 10:30am-Ed Morgan, “The Music Man”- Music. Come enjoy an interactive sing-along for children ages 1 to 99 at the Randall Library in Stow with Ed Morgan, “The Music Man”. Summer Pickup Basketball Registration Is Now Open
SYBA (Stow Youth Basketball Association) is now accepting registration for the 2013 Summer Pickup Basketball Program for both boys and girls in grades* 1 through 9.  No weekly commitment needed – come when you can.  Go to www.stowhoops.org to register.  (* Grade for 2013-14 school year.)

Booster Club Brick Fundraiser
