2:00pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Hale School reported that a rear window screen had been cut.  The Police responded.
Editor’s Note: Hale Middle School Principal George King notified students’ families earlier this week about the incident at the school that was investigated by police. “Earlier this week there was a police officer in the school to look at a very minor issue having to do with one of our windows.  It is not unusual for a police officer to be at Hale, as the Stow Police often do ‘walk-throughs’ here, for visibility and familiarity reasons.  It came to my attention from several different sources that this particular visit sparked rumors about all sorts of happenings here at Hale.  Happily none of these were remotely true,” wrote King. Stow Police confirmed that the cut in the screen was only about 4” square, too small for a person to enter or even to put a hand/arm through. Those particular ground floor windows only open a few inches, another obstacle against outside access, the Police confirmed.
