Monday October 13, 2014
9:26am VANDALISM
A caller from Packard Road reported that his mailbox was smashed overnight.  A family member noticed a black pick-up truck in the area.  An officer advised the caller.  The information was logged.

10:34am VANDALISM
A caller from Barton Road reported that her 5-foot-tall wooden sign was taken off a tree and left on the ground.  An officer advised the caller.  The information was logged.

11:13am VANDALISM
A caller from Wheeler Road reported that his mailbox was hit and damaged.  An officer advised the caller.  The information was logged.

1:07pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller from Orchard Drive reported that an unknown car had been parked in front of her home for over two weeks.  The Police responded.  The owner was a family member of a neighbor.  All was OK.

4:25pm ANIMAL
A caller on Sudbury Road reported that a chocolate Labrador was walking in the road by the bridge.  The Police responded.  The animal was not located.

6:46pm LOCKOUT
A caller at Honey Pot Hill Orchards reported that his/her car keys were lost.  Someone was bringing a spare set to assist.  The caller sat by the car to wait.  The Police responded to standby.  A short time later, the other keys arrived and entry to the car was gained.

7:01pm LARCENY
A caller from Barton Road reported that her wooden sign that was taken down from a tree had now been stolen.  The information was logged.

10:05pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Carriage Lane reported that an unknown car was parked in front of her home.  It appeared that four individuals were inside it drinking.  The Police responded.

7:19am COMPLAINT
A caller on West Acton Road reported that she heard gunshots in the woods.  An officer advised the woman that it was duck hunting season.

8:20am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller reported that he and his family had an issue with the school administration and that he was keeping his child out of school for a while.  An officer advised the man that this was not a police issue and the caller should contact the school directly.  The caller wanted the information logged.

10:08am COMPLAINT
A caller from North Shore Drive reported that someone took his “No Tank” sign.  The information was logged.

2:24pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from the Stow Acres Country Club requested an ambulance for a woman who fell at the 14th hole.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the womaan to the hospital.

3:52pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Whitney Road reported that a suspicious vehicle had been parked in front of his home for a while.  The Police responded.  The car belonged to one of the caller’s landscapers.  All was OK.

10:06pm ANIMAL
A caller from Kingland Road reported that a neighbor’s dog had been barking for over two hours.  The Police responded to check the area.  The dog was not seen or heard.

10:22am COMPLAINT
A caller at Crow Island reported that people were shooting shotguns in the area.  The caller was informed that it is duck and goose hunting season.  However, the man was more concerned about how close the shooters were to him and his companions.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

10:44am COMPLAINT
Two callers from West Acton Road reported that they heard gunshots in the area.  The Police responded.  Hunters were located at Pilot Grove Farm and advised.

6:37pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller requested to speak with an officer regarding an issue he had with a neighbor who removed a tree from his property.  An officer advised the man.

Thursday October 16, 2014
2:24pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Fairway Drive reported that a man in a blue SUV came to her door but then left before knocking.  The man then parked at the end of the road.  The Police responded to check the area.  No one was located.

3:22pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that he received an email scam addressed to another person.  He wanted the information logged.

Friday October 17, 2014
12:20pm COMPLAINT
A caller reported that he found another person’s trash in his yard.  He wanted advice on how to confront the individual without causing a problem.  An officer advised the man.

3:35pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Birch Hill Road requested an ambulance for a man who fell off a ladder.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

6:05pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in suggested that “zebra lines” should be painted near the entrance of Plantation Apartments.  She felt the area was dangerous without them.  A message was left for the Highway Department.

Saturday October 18, 2014
7:47am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from the bridge on Sudbury Road reported that two cars were parked, with the flashers on, and there was a dog in one of them.  No one was around.  The Police responded.  The dog was located.  He was happy and the car was well ventilated.  He believed the owners were duck hunters.  All was OK.

7:59am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A jogger near the town beach flagged an officer down to report that a man in a white van appeared to be yelling at someone in the van.  The Police responded to the beach.  The van was located but no one was found.

1:03pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller at Shelburne Farms reported that a man fell in the orchard.  He was sitting and conscious.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  An ambulance transported the man to the hospital.

1:19pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Shelburne Farms requested another ambulance for an individual with a diabetic issue.  A second ambulance responded and transported the patient to the hospital.

4:21pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Barton Road reported that people in a red pick-up truck were cutting down trees and loading them into the truck.  The Police responded.  The people cutting down the trees were owners of the property. All was OK.

5:34pm ARREST
Ashlee Brown, 31, from Fitchburg, was arrested on a warrant.

Sunday October 19, 2014
8:57am FIRE
A caller from Red Acre Road reported that she heard a loud bang and then the power went out.  The Police and Fire Department responded.  Hudson Light and Power was notified and responded.  A fuse was blown.  The situation was resolved.

1:17pm ANIMAL
A caller on Sudbury Road, near the bridge, reported that a small brown dog, without tags, was walking along the road.  The Police responded.  The dog was located and brought to the station.  Another officer recognized the dog and contacted its owner.

1:47pm ROAD SAFETY COMPLAINT
A caller on Great Road reported that a piece of wood, with a bunch of stuff on it, fell off the bed of a blue pick-up truck and hit his car.  There was no damage.  The Police responded.

3:34pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Taylor Road reported that he heard 2 gunshots in the area.  The Police responded.  No one was located.

11:38pm FIRE
A caller from Old Bolton Road reported that the cover to his water heater came off.  He was concerned and wanted someone to check on it.  The Fire Department responded.  There was no fire hazard to report.  All was OK.
