The Stow Independent traveled with Greg and Mary Ellen Troxel to Iona Abbey, founded by St. Columba of Ireland in 563. The island of Iona is on the west coast of Scotland, accessible by two ferries and a bus from Oban. The trip included castles, churches, haggis, whisky (both hard to avoid), single-track roads (many with passing places), sheep, and sites related to Bonnie Prince Charlie and the 1745 risings.
