We join in sending our condolences to the people of Newtown, CT and all of the family and friends who lost loved ones last Friday. There’s not much that hasn’t already been said about the tragedy. It’s just a horrific event that we all have to process in our own way.
For those of you who are concerned about the safety in Stow/Nashoba schools or are looking for more information on how to speak with your child about this type of violence, Ann has gathered comments and suggestions from the school administration.
While it’s important to go on with our lives, especially those with children looking forward to a happy holiday, I’m sure that many of us will hold those 26 lives, and those they left behind, in our hearts for a long time to come.
With both Christmas and New Year’s Day falling on Tuesdays this year, we will not be publishing a print edition on December 26 or January 2. We will post any breaking news on the website and also do an abbreviated online issue after the New Year. Look for it some time on January 4 (although we may sneak something in a little earlier). We will be back in print on January 9.
We wish all of you a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday and Happy New Year. May the next year bring us all more peace.
