Summer volunteer opportunities for college students

For college students who are undecided about how to spend their summer, and have an interest to helping out people who are less fortunate, Household Goods in Acton has a suggestion.

Household Goods’ mission is to accept and distribute donated, recycled household goods free of charge to individuals and families in need through volunteers and in cooperation with community agencies and organizations. Household Goods has a variety of volunteer positions that students might fill. Training would be provided and students would gain valuable experience, a sense of satisfaction, and something tangible to put on their resumes. The group needs volunteers to help throughout the summer, and especially with the annual collection of goods from departing Boston College students from May 10-19.  Household Goods is located at 530 Main St. in Acton. To learn more about how to help out, would-be volunteers should call Brigid Bieber at 978-635-1710, ext. 6 or email [email protected].
