The Nashoba Regional field hockey team opened the 2014 season on the right foot Wednesday afternoon. The Chieftains hit the road to kick off the campaign with a trip to Hudson High School and a date with the host Hawks.
Nashoba received two goals from senior captain and forward Sarah Gaffney, a goal and an assist each from junior forward Sidney Lowe and senior captain and midfielder Emma Caviness as the visitors headed home with a 4-0 victory at Riverside Field.

Two weeks of sea turtles, eggs, painting, a new language, and rustic living all added up to an unforgettable adventure for Stow’s Katherine Hamilton. In July, the Nashoba Regional High School junior journeyed to Costa Rica and Panama on a service project sponsored by the Girl Scouts and Outward Bound, building a packet of memories along the way.
“It really was unforgettable,” Hamilton said of her trip to Central America.
