Gun Laws Explained at TAGSC Meeting

The details and intricacies of Massachusetts gun laws, including the possession, transportation and storage of guns in the Commonwealth, were explained on Thursday night at the South Hangar of Minute Man Air Field in Stow.

The information was presented by Jon Green, Director of Education and Training of the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL) and sponsored by The Assabet Gun Safety Coalition.

New Town Social Worker

Sara Steele recently signed on as the first licensed social worker hired for the Town of Stow. Working Thursdays and Fridays out of the Town Building, where she shares an office with the town nurse, Steele brings more than 20 years of experience to the new position.

“The goal is to have this position reach across the town to all ages,” stressed Steele, who officially reports to Stow Council on Aging Director Alyson Toole.

This past Saturday, both squads rolled into Fitchburg for Mid-Wach B league championship meet with targets on their backs, chief among them the Chieftain girls, on the heels of their perfect regular season. And when all the jumping, heaving and sprinting was done, the girls team walked away with a first-place finish that doubled as an exclamation point, and proclaimed them undisputed league champs.
