Nashoba Sports Season Wrap -Up

As the fall sports season nearly comes to a close, the Nashoba varsity teams have had some headliners this season. The field hockey, girls soccer and volleyball teams have had playoff runs and the cross country and golf squads have had successful seasons. Here is a more in-depth look of each team:
Hogan Hosts Conversation on Drugs

Substance abuse among local students is everywhere, the reason Rep. Kate Hogan cited for hosting “Community Conversations: Raising Healthy Teens”, last week at Hudson High School. Addressing a group of about 40 parents and school personnel, Hogan said she is hoping to hold similar forums at other high schools in her district, which includes Stow, Bolton and Maynard. “What we hope you get out of this is a continuing conversation about what we can do,” she remarked.
Nashoba Looks at MCAS Scores

The principals of each district school last Wednesday presented the Nashoba School Committee with analysis of the latest MCAS scores — and agreed that high-needs students across the district are lagging. In other topics, the committee postponed discussion on several portions of its agenda, including consideration of a new honor roll system.
