Public Safety Report… June 24, 2015

Monday June 15, 2015
9:02am SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that a male, wearing a hoodie, was standing on the corner of Tuttle Lane.  The Police responded.  The individual was waiting for the school bus.  Classes started late because of finals.  All was OK.

10:51am LARCENY
A caller reported that his tools were stolen from his truck at his place of business.  The Police responded.  A report was filed.

3:41pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that a group of suspicious teens were hanging around the Delaney Project.  The Police responded.  No one was found.

10:33pm VANDALISM
A caller from Gleasondale Road reported that a pick-up truck hit her mailbox. The Police responded.

11:28pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller reported that he was approached by his neighbor yesterday who asked him about taking pictures of his children.  An officer advised the man to contact the Police immediately if he was approached again.

Tuesday June 16, 2015
10:16am ANIMAL
A caller near Whitman Road reported that a large brown dog, with white patches on his side, was walking close to Sudbury Road.  The caller was concerned for its safety. The Animal Control Officer was notified.

Wednesday June 17, 2015
8:09am ASSIST CITIZEN
A caller reported that a tree branch fell on his car and damaged it.  The Highway Department was notified.  A report was filed.

9:38am ANIMAL/ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
The Building Inspector at the Pompositticut School building requested contact with the Animal Control Officer regarding a skunk that was located in a humane trap.  The Animal Control Officer responded.

11:01am WELL BEING CHECK
A caller from Hale Middle School requested an officer to check on a sixth-grader who left the school property.  The Police responded.  The student was located and taken back to school.  All was OK.

9:02pm ARREST
Daniel Donovan, 44, of Maynard, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and for not meeting driving safety standards.

Thursday June 18, 2015
2:04pm FIRE
A caller reported a fire on Lanes End Road.  The Fire Department responded.  An illegal burn was located.  The fire was safely extinguished and the homeowner was advised.
2:11pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer observed individuals trying to fish at the Maynard Water Supply area.  There is no fishing allowed at that body of water. They were given a verbal no trespassing order.

Friday June 19, 2015
11:10am ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that someone dumped a half-truck worth of roofing supplies on the side of Kingland Road.  The Police responded.  The Highway Department was notified and responded to remove the debris.

3:11pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Robert Road reported that a man felt that he was going to pass out.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The man was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

5:03pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller on Boxboro Road reported that a suspicious man had been driving around the neighborhood for the past few weeks.  It appeared like he was taking pictures of people’s homes.  When he had been approached, he reported that he was looking for cell coverage.  The Police responded.

8:12pm MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller from Harvard Road requested an ambulance for a man who was losing consciousness.  The Police and Fire/Rescue responded.  The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

8:33pm COMPLAINT
A caller reported that a few players on the field at the end of Bradley Lane were starting to get loud.  The Police responded.  The individuals were leaving for the night.  All was OK.

Saturday June 20, 2015
6:50am COMPLAINT
A caller from Treaty Elm Lane reported that hot air balloons were “flying” dangerously low.  The caller also lost power and she was afraid the balloon hit some power lines.  The Police responded to check the area.  The complaint was forwarded to Massachusetts Aeronautics.

1:30pm COMPLAINT
A walk-in complained about an officer who stopped him earlier in the day.  He stated that the officer was unprofessional, rude and even yelled at him.  There was no record of any stop or involvement with the Stow Police that day.  After the man produced a citation it was determined that the officer was from the State Police.

7:17pm SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller from Gleasondale Road reported that his air conditioner had been pushed out the window, the window was closed and the shade was pulled down.  Nothing was missing.  The Police responded.  It appeared to be an attempted break-in but the individual may have been scared off by the family dog.

Sunday June 21, 2015
1:31pm ANIMAL
A caller on Red Acre Road reported that there was an injured turtle in the road.  The Animal Control Officer responded to take the turtle to the hospital.

4:01pm ASSIST CITIZEN
A walk-in reported that his bicycle fell off his car on route 495.  The surrounding areas were notified, including the State Police.
